Customer Appreciation Golf Tournament
Friday, July 27, Carlton Trail Regional Park

Tee Up with Sharpe’s and Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation was very well supported by Sharpe’s customers at the recent Sharpe’s Corporate Customer Appreciation Golf Tournament held on Friday, July 27 at Carlton Trail Regional Park.

Players were given the opportunity to place a bet on hole 9, which was changed to a par 3, that they would hit the green with their tee shot. For every successful bet the players doubled their money, for every unsuccessful bet Sharpe’s matched dollar for dollar to donate to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. Together they raised $840. Thanks to everyone who donated to this very worthwhile cause.

The tournament was well attended with a total of 72 golfers participating. Following the golfing there were prizes handed out to the closest to the pin winners: men’s winner was Perry Carefoot of McAuley, MB, with a distance of 3’ 6”, and ladies' winner Betty Kotzer of Langenburg with a distance of 35’ 5”.

The longest drive winners were Paulette Hautz of Langenburg and Barry Roe of Moosomin. The winners all received gravity-free lounge chairs Sponsored by Dow Agro Sciences and Syngenta.

After answering a skill testing question, names were entered in a draw for two Roughrider tickets donated by Carmen Holding from Syngenta. The winner was Kyran Foy of Moosomin.

Top honors in the tournament went to Garry Williamson of Rocanville, Murray Simle of Dubuc, Charlie the Monsanto rep and Blair Sharpe of Moosomin with a score of 31. All participants received a prize.

Following the prize ceremony everyone enjoyed a steak supper.
